lots of stuff going on today...

well, my tuesday was a failure -- i can't say that i accomplished very much!

i never actually went to the pool... i did drive by on my way home from the doctors. so many freaking kids. i think it would have been more annoying than relaxing. oh well. i came home and napped instead. i defy you to match my laziness.

tonight, i wasted more of my life by attempting to organize the backup drive... super exciting... right? i gave up after several hours. it's going to take a long ass time... but, i'll get there.

other interesting news of the day... after something like 40 years of production in NYC, all my children is moving to the west coast starting in january.

now, i haven't been a viewer since the mid-90s... so, this doesn't actually affect me much at all... but, lots of my friends, and their friends, are affected. will certainly be interesting to see how that pans out... i can't see a lot of the old-timers, like susan lucci, excited about a move out to LA.

then again, maybe that was the plan... get rid of a whole bunch of the older cast members who make big bucks? who knows.

anyway, many developments on the light of twi today.

first off, rob has arrived back in LA .. where he will stay for a few days before going to vancouver next week.

i am entirely okay with his departure from ny. it was fun while it lasted... but, exhausting!

now, i love the boy dearly but he really needs a permanent home which contains a washer and a dryer.

i'm okay with him being a little bit dirty... but the pants look filthy. and, the odd blue splotch in the crotch area has sparked no small amount of debate. what do you think it looks like ?

also... is this really all the stuff he had in NY with him for 2 months? i couldn't get buy with this much stuff for 1 week let alone 7... !

kstew was also spotted out and about in LA today... she was on her way to a medical clearance prior to 'eclipse'... apparently she was also fitted for her new bella wig today...

i'm surprised she hasn't done something about her hair already... obviously it's got to grow back on its own and obviously she'll be wigged for eclipse... but, if i were her, i'd still dye it back to a normal color... who knows, maybe she's as lazy as i am and needed a nap... she's certainly done more to earn it than i have!

only a couple of months ago i saw her in some straight to dvd movie about a british woman who wants a baby...

well, this time she plays an american woman who doesn't really want a baby.

anyway, the movie was just moronic. really lame sort of comedy... john corbett and jerry o'connel don't do much for me...

katie finneran, who is a talented bway veteran, has a lead role in this crap too...

and, someone please tell me wtf has happened to lara flynn boyle's lips... TERRIFYING. she must have had the fat sucked out of the rest of her body and shot into her lips. NOT a good look.

so, supporting cast for 'eclipse' arrives in vancouver for pre-production this week...

the big 3 (kristen, rob, taylor) don't arrive till next week -- after they attend the 'teen choice awards' in LA this coming weekend....

and ashley... who i guess i sort of like. i think she looks adorable when she's "dressed down." it's when she tries to glam up like a 40 year old that i want to slap her... anyway, she looks cute today and she's got a great bag for her laptop!

this was pretty decent. movie-wise, it's probably more like 3 stars but i really enjoy marisa tomei when she's given something to work with... so, i upped it to 4 :-)

it's a quirky nyc romance about a woman who finally meets mr. right... except that he says he's from the future and came back in time to find her after seeing her photo... a little something to get me ready for the opening of 'time traveler's wife' in a couple of weeks (i looove that book but fear the movie might be a train wreck!)

that's all for now. tomorrow is supposed to be a really nice day here in new york... i'm going to try to haul my ass to one of the local pools. i feel like i haven't done a single summery thing so far this year...

another long day draws to a close...

so, i got 3 hours of sleep last night before heading off to my family party this afternoon...

that was.... unpleasant. i don't do well on little sleep.

so, i didn't stay too long and then came home and slept from about 4 pm to 10 pm... very healthy.

i've now been up for less than 4 hours but i'm pretty sure i'm going to sleep again now. maybe get back on a normal schedule tomorrow.

oh, flickr and i are back on speaking terms. i wrote them late last night after deleting the twi photos and they've made me searchable once more. so, that's a good thing. i still curse them for their annoyingness... but, whatever. we have to move on!

okay, on to a few quick orders of business.

this is an edward shot from the new moon 2010 calendar which just shipped. i have no idea if i ordered this calendar or not. i'm thinking i did not. i'll have to get on that tomorrow.



the eyes kill me. they look so good. 4,307% better than in the first movie. i think we need to petition for 'twilight' to be re-made.

i love phillip seymour hoffman... i have since 1997 when i first laid eyes on him in an off bway play called 'shopping & fucking'

i think he's one of the best actors we have today... and, his performance here is spectacular as usual.

that said, didn't like the movie at all.

lame and depressing story of a man whose life crumbles after his wife unexpectadly takes her own life...

he begins sniffing gasoline to dull the pain and... i start wishing the movie would be over.

in target the other night i realized that i was extremely thirsty while standing in front of a fridge full of this simply lemonade stuff...

i don't remember being aware of this product in the past but i decided to open the fridge and start drinking one right there in the aisle.

it turns out that it's fucking fabtastic. it's going to give my love for nestea a run for its money.

did a bit of research on it tonite and discovered that it's a coca cola product... (what isn't??? nestea is as well)

anyone know if they sell this in some sort of multipack or can in supermarkets? i'm going to have to check that out asap... also think it might taste awesome mixed with some sort of alcohol...

i happened to notice this sign in the window of the combo KFC/A&W we visited last night.

why the fuck would hot dogs contain milk... i mean... i just don't get it!

i guess they put this up so that lactose intolerant people are forewarned... but, honestly, i'd have preferred it if they kept this knowledge to themselves.

also, A&W sells something called "cheese curds"... i don't know what the word curd means... but, it's not an appealing term for a food. it's one letter away from turd.

okay, i think that's about all the ranting i have energy for today.

this week is.... not all that busy.

a few appointments, a few doctors appointments...

next week: boston for sales meeting.

i think he looks freaking amazing in this picture... i'm sort of thinking he's going to look even better in this movie than in 'twlight'... the shorter hair might actually work for me.

this is supposed to be a new moon pic... his hair looks kinda longish for it to be a new moon pic... but, who knows. it's a scan from a french magazine...

and, that's about it for the twi stuff today... the runaways had its wrap party tonight and remember me should be finishing up any moment... either today or early next week...

word is that the cullen family members (without rob and kristen) are due in vancouver this coming week for hair/makeup/photoshoots... all pre-production stuff

since rob and kristen are just getting done with their respective movies (both of which belong to the same studio that the twilight films come from) they are supposedly getting somewhere between 1-2 weeks off before they have to be in vancouver for pre-production.

damn... how does it get to be 3 am when it still feels like 10 pm?

i seriously have no idea where the day went!

i went to bed at close to 7 am on saturday morning and slept till 2 pm. by the time i went to bed, all the flickr pix (all, including doll and twi stuff) had been saved to my computer.

i was super productive saturday afternoon... got 11 dolls ready to go out for a photo shoot... got an external hard drive at a great price...

leslie and ross stopped by around 5:30 and we headed out for doll photos...

randomly, some sort of movie or tv show was filming at the first long island park that i planned to take us to.

the signs pointing towards the set was labeled "RP SET THIS WAY"

so, obviously, the sets get labeled with the name of the project rather than the name of the performers in them... but, you know what i think when i see those particular initials.

and, actually, i quickly realized that this was the new tv show 'royal pains' that was filming... they've actually been filming on long island a lot... and, i saw signs for them in the city too recently.

so, sadly, leslie, ross and i did not stumble upon rob in a random park on long island... though, that would have been hella funny.

i still haven't had a chance to take a look at my photos from today... but, i think they came out nicely.

i bought an awesome hello kitty lunchbox at target this evening which is my new camera bag... will definitely get some pix of that...

oh, we picked up crappy fast food since we didn't get around to eating dinner till 10 pm... we stopped at a combo KFC/A&W and noticed signs in the window that said "THE HOT DOGS WE SERVE CONTAIN MILK"

wtf is *that* about? really does not seem right to me... lol.

and, after the dude at the window repeated to us that my wings were to be boneless and leslie's were to contain bones.... we both got bones... except leslie got 1 random boneless... FML

leslie and i tried to find more shit for me to sell... it didn't work that much. leslie had a laughing fit over the quality of a handmade item in my doll clothing collection.

i forced l&r to watch the fantastic 80s flick 'back to the beach' ...

donuts were consumed...

ross proved to me that technology never does what i think it's going to...

i swear up and down i've tried to use external hard drives with both my pc and mac and that it's never worked... it only works with whichever i connect it to first.

but, oddly, tonight, the new western digital drive i bought seems to work perfectly with both my mac and pc.

this will make my life much easier as i now don't need to worry about which of my 2 computers i save new photos too...

i'm totally rambling and likely boring the HELL out of you...

did anything else interesting happen today?

oh, shit, yah, i deleted the pix from flickr. about 3000 actually... not 4000. so, hopefully my friend terrence in flickr support will agree to make me searchable again on monday.

tomorrow is a family party... which means i should really try to get to bed before 7 am tonite... if i only i didn't have dolls and doll clothing strewn all over my bed...

blah. okay, guess i'm off to do some cleaning and then sleep.

totally sounds like i had a riveting day, right? i promise not to be this boring every day!

1 evening, 2 movies starring Rose Byrne...

i barely even know who rose byrne is... though, she looks familiar... i bet, if i looked her up, i'd find that i've seen her in something...

i know she's on that tv show 'damages'... but, i don't really do tv. so, haven't seen her in that.

anyway, met up with my friend rachel (f, not a, i have 2 rachels!) for dinner and then we went to see 'adam'

adam was my choice as i am deeply enamored of hugh dancy and have been for a very long while!

for some reason i just knew this was going to be really good and i was not dissappointed!

both performances were amazing... really well written... and, i love anything that was filmed in nyc.

actually, now that i've gotten so crazy, i'm a little sad that i didn't go watch this be filmed! lol.

though, i have seen hugh dancy in person... i've never talked to him or anything... !

anyways, so, yeah, definitely try to see this if you can. it's in pretty limited release now... 2 theaters in nyc and maybe 1 or 2 in LA...

but, it's worth seeking out.

knowing, on the other hand, was crap.

i hate nicholas cage so i'm really not entirely sure why i bothered to watch this at all... !

i think it's b/c i saw the preview about 15 thousand times before twilight this past fall. the premise with the numbers and the predictions sounded somewhat promising... but, believe me, it's not.

bad acting, bad writing, bad sign language, badly computerized alien beings, this movie has it all... and not in a good way!

plus, they show times square blow up. i don't like any movies in which i watch my city implode. it seems too potentailly realistic.

so, that's it for now.

it's already 4 am on... well, saturday morning and i've not really slept in about 48 hours. i'm surprised i haven't totally collapsed yet. don't know where this energy is coming from.

saturday's goals:

- finish downloading all files from flickr
- buy an external hard drive
- transfer said files to external hard drive
- take doll photos with leslie and ross

hopefully the weather doesn't suck... i haven't had any time to check into that...


oh, on another note, remember me was apparently still filming in nyc very late tonight (friday) night.

i hadn't heard about that in advance... but, that's a good thing. i really am ready for a break from the rp stalking for a bit! and, it poured for a long time tonite... not to mention that there was no fan meet and greet... despite the late hour and small group ...

though, the fact that they were still here till late tonite makes me think that they aren't done and will be lurking about next week as well...
